Axiom- 7x7 print
7x7 print (image size 6x6) on cardstock. Gouache. Signed. Nostalgic illustration of The Axiom at 2524 McKinney St, Houston, TX 77003. From 1987 - 1991, the Axiom took a run-down former drugstore/motel in what was the seedy East End of downtown and created a home for punk, metal, thrash, noise and alternative rock. Bands like Mother Love Bone, Nirvana, Social Distortion, GWAR, Testament, MOD and every metal, thrash, punk and hardcore band across Texas played there. Houston's Sprawl, Spunk, Deadhorse, Pain Teens and Bayou Pigs were regulars.
